The W20 – W30 electric platform trucks from Linde Material Handling are perfect for the bundled transport of large quantities of material. With a payload of two (W20) or three tons (W30) and top speeds (without load) of 20 km/h (W20) and 23 km/h (W30) respectively, the vehicles operate on a high level of performance, agility, and precise maneuverability. Their smooth steering enables the driver to operate effortlessly in the tightest spaces. That makes the W20 – W30 ideal for sequence-compliant delivery in timed processes, such as material supply to production lines in the automotive industry. A cabin decoupled from the chassis as well as a drive axle equipped with coil springs instead of leaf springs prevents shocks and vibrations from being transmitted to the driver when driving on uneven ground. That avoids fatigue and allows concentrated work even during long shifts. The trucks can be powered either by lead-acid or lithium-ion batteries.

Different truck lengths

A standard length of 2.2 meters and a longer version of 2.6 meters are available, depending on the load.

Camera

The camera at the rear of the tow tractor provides the driver with a better view during difficult driving maneuvers via a display.

Cab Variants

The cabin is available with many different door variants, including sliding, hinged, PVC, and bailed doors.

Air conditioning and heating

The combined heating and air conditioning system guarantees a comfortable working environment in the cab all year round.

Seat Variants

Seats with different fabric covers and an air-suspended driver’s seat are available.

Side Mirrors

Multiple exterior mirrors improve driver visibility in heavy traffic and tight spaces.

Roadworthy Lighting

In this variant, the truck has a complete lighting system with headlights, turn signals, brake, and reversing lights. The lamps are protected from accidents by the chassis.

Bumper

The platform trucks can be equipped with a particularly strong bumper at the front.

Safety

Safety is a top priority when transporting large loads. Therefore, the W20 – W30 platform trucks are equipped with several braking systems. The driver activates the multi-disc brake via the foot pedal. This braking system enables extremely sensitive, yet very powerful deceleration at the same time in order to protect the load being carried and to stop the vehicle immediately in dangerous situations. In addition, an automatic parking brake prevents the vehicle from rolling unintentionally on slopes and is released when the tractor is accelerated again. When driving downhill, the W20 – W30 automatically maintain their speed and the weight of the transported goods does not accelerate the truck. In curves, the speed is automatically adjusted. The robust cabin with optional protective windshield bars and an optional seat belt protects the driver from being harmed in case of an accident. Additionally, the cabin doors are electrically monitored and prevent the driver from driving faster than creep speed when the doors are not properly shut. A lateral battery change allows for easy and safe handling of heavy traction batteries.

Ergonomics

The W20 – W30 platform trucks offer maximum driving comfort and reduce fatigue during work. The decoupling of cabin and chassis and the coil springs on the drive axle prevent vibrations and shocks from being transmitted to the driver and thus minimize physical strain. The large, curved windshield and multiple door options provide unobstructed visibility in all directions, allowing the driver to keep an eye on the surroundings with minimum effort, even during difficult driving maneuvers. The spacious driver’s compartment offers ample room for relaxed working. Work utensils can be conveniently stowed in storage compartments and nets.

Handling

Depending on the model of platform truck, the W20 – W30 can transport two (W20) to three tons (W30) of load on their loading areas. The powerful electric motors ensure high handling capacities. Thanks to their compact size and precise power steering, the trucks are nevertheless effortless to steer. Above all, their small turning circle predestines the W20 – W30 for transport through narrow paths in production halls and warehouses. An optional double mirror ensures that the driver has a complete view of the vehicle even during difficult maneuvers. One of the two mirrors shows the rear, the other one the front wheel, to reduce the risk of collision damage.
