Spacious powerhouse for the most demanding applications

In the 1 to 2 tonne payload range, the battery counterbalance forklift trucks Xi10 – Xi20 offer maximum performance, which makes them the highest-performing representatives of this truck class. Thanks to state-of-the-art drive technology, they are ideal for particularly intensive applications where repeated lifting and lowering are the order of the day. The lifting and lowering speeds are well above the industry average. The four-wheeled forklift trucks combine high maneuverability and maximum stability. They can be equipped either with the Linde combi-steering axle or with the pendulum axle familiar from combustion engine Linde forklift trucks. Thanks to their robust design and equipment with the pendulum axle, the forklift trucks can also be used outdoors without restriction. The permanently integrated Li-ION battery eliminates the need for a battery tray, giving the driver significantly more legroom. This also allowed the step to be enlarged and lowered, which ensures increased comfort and safety when getting in and out of the truck. The four-wheeled version is available in six versions with different battery capacities and chassis sizes as well as a variety of equipment options. This unique flexibility makes it possible to find the optimum and most economical solution for every application. Maximum handling performance, efficient energy consumption and flexible model selection make the Xi16 – Xi20 P a cost-efficient and future-proof investment.

Optional Equipment

The comfort cabin protects the driver when working outdoors and provides outstanding all-round visibility of the load and the working environment thanks to its armored glass roof and large-scale glass doors.

The powerful air-conditioning system* with integrated heating and pollen filter guarantees a comfortable working environment in the cab all year round, while also preventing windows from fogging up.

A large selection of seats ensures additional comfort and active protection against postural injuries with functions like air suspension, lumbar support, seat heating, and seat ventilation.

On the display, this optional function shows the driver the current load weight.

In addition to truck information, the 7-inch screen can also for example show such things as the Linde Safety Pilot display, or images from the mast or reversing cameras. The screen layout and displays can be individually customized.

The innovative control concept Linde Steer Control from Linde Material Handling replaces the traditional steering wheel with a mini steering wheel or joystick, increasing the truck’s ergonomics, precision and safety.

Tipping accidents with the counterbalance forklift trucks can be largely avoided by using the Linde Safety Pilot .

The Linde Speed Assist driver assistance system automatically adjusts the truck’s top speed to the environment and the driving situation.

The Linde Reverse Assist Radar recognizes objects when reversing, warns the driver of collisions, and brakes the truck in an emergency until it comes to a standstill.

Safety

The Xi16 – Xi20 P offer optimum safety for drivers, pedestrians and goods. The low center of gravity and overhead tilt cylinders ensure maximum stability at high lifting heights. The slimline design of the mast, the narrow A-pillar, and the lowered front plate enable optimum visibility of the load and the surrounding area. Thanks to the roof construction with narrow cross struts and the optional armored glass roof, the driver always has a clear view overhead, even when storing and retrieving items from racking. Electronic belt buckle monitoring and the automatically applied parking brake provide additional protection. The Xi16 – Xi20 P is equipped with a range of assistance systems as standard: For added safety, Linde Curve Assist automatically adjusts the speed around bends, while Linde Load Assist limits mast inclination and lifting movement according to the load weight and lifting height to minimize the risk of tipping accidents. Other optional assistance systems such as Linde Speed Assist, Linde Safety Pilot, Linde Safety Guard, Linde Reverse Assist Radar and Linde Reverse Assist Camera are also available.

Ergonomics

The Xi16 – Xi20 P offer a comfortable and ergonomic workplace that helps avoid fatigue and allows for concentrated work. The mast, drive axle, and steering axle are decoupled from the chassis by elastomer ring bearings to protect the driver from harmful human vibrations when driving over uneven surfaces. The tried-and-tested operating concept consisting of dual-pedal control and Linde Load Control provides for excellent control of the forklift truck. The driver’s cab offers an easy-to-read 3.5-inch display and user-friendly controls. Thanks to the integrated Li-ION battery, there is no need for a battery tray, providing greater headroom and significantly more legroom. The entry step has been enlarged and positioned lower. A wide selection of comfort seats with different backrests, upholstery and suspension types is available to meet individual requirements. In forklift trucks with a full cab, the optional, fully integrated and high-performance heating/air conditioning system ensures optimum working temperatures. The forklift trucks are also available with the optional innovative Linde Steer Control operating system, where the steering wheel is replaced by a joystick or mini-wheel in the armrest.

Handling

The Xi16 – Xi20 P set performance standards. Thanks to the intelligent combination of 90-volt technology, sophisticated synchronous reluctance motors and efficient heat management, full performance is always available even for intensive applications. The lifting speeds are around 20 percent above the industry average and so the Xi16 – Xi20 P provide for maximum productivity. Reaching top speeds of up to 20 km/h, these forklift trucks are ideal for fast transport journeys. The four-wheeled forklift trucks can be equipped with the Linde combi-steering axle or with the Linde pendulum axle known from the Linde internal combustion forklift trucks for maximum maneuverability and optimum stability in any application. Thanks to their robust design, the forklift trucks with pendulum axles are also ideal for permanent outdoor use. The state-of-the-art system architecture ensures that the Xi16 – Xi20 can be seamlessly integrated into digital work processes. To maximize availability, they can be maintained remotely. An optional on-board charger enables easy intermediate charging.

Service

The Xi16 – Xi20 P impress with their long maintenance intervals and low service costs. This is made possible by a robust, low-wear construction. Electric motors, mast and tilt cylinders and decoupling elements operate maintenance-free. The encapsulated electric motors and inverters installed directly on the drive axle are dustproof and waterproof. An overall inspection is only due after 1,000 operating hours, and the hydraulic oil and filter change only after approximately three years. All relevant parts are easily accessible allowing for straightforward maintenance. The modular design also shortens repair times. Wireless data transmission and analysis enable remote diagnostics and predictive maintenance for optimized service processes.
